About the Ester library

The John Trigg Ester Library is a home-grown community library serving the village and vicinity of Ester, Alaska. The librarians strive to provide a welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment where community members can meet and share ideas. We work to instill a love of reading and learning, to showcase Ester-area history and culture, and to provide resources that will enrich the whole community.

The library sponsors multiple events and programs each year: the monthly Library Lecture Series, Growing Ester's Biodiversity Seed Library Program, the Tape & Tarp Breakup Ball in spring, LiBerry Music Festival in late summer, and Readers on the Run in early winter.
